Mr. An Min Meeting with an Economic Delegation from Central Japan

On August 31, Mr. An Min, Vice Minister of Commerce of PRC, met with an economic delegation from central Japan led by Yokoi Akira, president of Tokai Japan-China Trade Center. Mr. An Min extended his congratulations to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Center, and thanks for its support to China Day in Expo 2005 Aichi (Japan) and the visit of Vice Premier Wu Yi. The two sides exchanged views on trade and economic cooperation between China and Central Japan, the tendency of China's foreign trade and attraction of foreign investment, and open-up of commercial and circulation market etc. Mr. An Min pointed out that China and Japan were important neighboring countries and trade and economic cooperation partners of each other, under the current situation that the political relations between the two countries faced severe difficulties, it was specially significant to enhance the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, which was in accordance with the benefits of the two countries. He hoped that the economic community in central Japan could strengthen cooperation with China to promote China-Japan trade and economic cooperation to develop at a higher level.
